The UBS L-band radial power combiners present a unique blend of reliability and high power handling capability in a compact housing. Radial combiners, by their nature, tend to be very efficient for summing a large number of amplifiers. The analysis technique employed at UBS allows for very accurate prediction and careful optimization of combiner performance. A superior mechanical design provides an excellent electrical symmetry thus improving their amplitude and phase stability. All this ensures that UBS’ radial combiners have low insertion loss, excellent amplitude and phase balance over a wide frequency range, as well as graceful degradation characteristics.
